Washington, D.C. that started December, 1981 when President Ronald Reagan was in office. The Capitol Steps is a group of politicians turned entertainers based in Their performances are comprised of song parodies and skits that satirize current events along with recent activities on Capitol Hill. They are a national touring group that has performed for the last 5 presidents, the National Welding Supply Association, university audiences , high schoolers, state legislators and four appearances at The State Theatre. The Capitol Steps have recorded over 30 albums, including their latest, Liberal Shop of Horrors and their special holiday release, Barackin’ Around the Christmas Tree. They can be heard four times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials and have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS. With constantly updated material, the Capitol Steps tackle both sides of the political spectrum while putting the “MOCK” in democracy.
