The Centre Film Festival partners with the State Theatre for the Friday Silent Film Series:
Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché
BE NATURAL: THE UNTOLD STORY OF ALICE GUY BLACHE, narrated by Jodi Foster, won a Best Documentary award at the 2019 Centre Film Festival. Come join us for a free screening of a film that tells the untold story of Alice, a creative force, entrepreneur, leader, and mentor in a new field that she helped pioneer. She directed her first film in 1896. This film is a celebration of a woman who was there at the beginning of the moving pictures, at the intersection of innovation, technology, and storytelling that later became the entertainment industry as we know it today.
