Community Conversations Series: The Intersection of Policing and Race

Community Conversations Series: The Intersection of Policing and Race

The State College Borough and Community Conferencing have collaborated on a series of conversations meant to bring people together to listen and learn from one another on topics pertinent to the State College community. The inaugural topic will be: “The Intersection of Policing and Race.”

This conversation, moderated by Jason Browne and Sue Marshall, will include local panelists answering previously selected questions proposed by the community through the survey below. We are eager to hear what the community has to say on this topic and to gather future topics of interest. Following the Panel Event, a Breakout Session will be held for all those interested in further discussing the event and/or proposing future topics.

Moderators:

  • Susan L. Marshall, M.Ed. She/Her
  • Jason Browne

Panelists:

  • Iris Richardson, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, University Campus Police and Public Safety
  • Terry Watson, Founder of Strategies for Justice
  • Dean Woodring, State College Police Department Community Engagement Officer
