CPDW “A Celebration of Dance”
An Annual Special Holiday Performance
See the students of the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop (CPDW) in “A Celebration of Dance” at 7:00 PM Sunday, December 12th, at the State Theatre in downtown State College. Join us as we celebrate dance’s long and varied history. Selections include a variety of ages and dance styles honoring our dance roots, from ballet choreographers George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins to modern dance pioneers, Isadora Duncan and Doris Humphrey, from musical theatre great Bob Fosse to MTV and Jazzercise. There is sure to be much to entertain everyone. Children from the preballet, ballet, jazz, modern, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre dance classes will participate, along with adult ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical/jazz, tap, and hip hop classes. The production will be choreographed by the CPDW faculty, including Jill A. Brighton, Director, Erin Hanses, Caitlin Osborne, Ruth Packard, John Michael Rosenblum, and Karen Stoner.
