See the students of the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop (CPDW) in “City Beats” at 7:00 PM Sunday, May 1st, at the State Theatre in downtown State College. Join us as we visit cities around the world. Selections include a variety of ages and dance styles celebrating diverse cities we know and love, from Surfing in Honolulu to Philadelphia Freedom, the glamour of Hollywood to fashion in Milan, Disney in Orlando to the New York City subway . There is sure to be much to entertain everyone. Children from the creative movement, preballet, ballet, jazz, modern, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre dance classes will participate, along with adult ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical/jazz, tap, and hip hop classes. The production will be choreographed by the CPDW faculty, including Jill A. Brighton, Director, Lydia Baranoski, Erin Hanses, Ruth Packard, and Karen Stoner.
