This modern jazz ensemble fuses classical harmonies with modern angularity and ferocious drumming. Odd and elusive meters abound. Complete versions of Known Garden, recorded in 2011, and Squashua, from 2001, are available on iTunes, Spotify, CDBaby, and beyond.
Dr. Joshua Davis, classical and jazz faculty at Penn State and Susquehanna University, has devoted his career to performance and composition, and to ensemble, groove, bass, composition, and improvisation coaching. He was an awarded leader of curriculum development at Berklee College of Music and plays bass with Love Salad, symphonies and groove bands led by himself, Vardan Ovsepian, Tim Miller, Marko Marcinko, Steve Rudolph, and others.
