Our staff works diligently to find the best quality feature length silent films for your consideration. Classic Silent Films, such as The Cameraman, Nosferatu, and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari have continued to entertain and inspire generations of new filmmakers and audiences.
The State Theatre’s Silent Film Series is proud to present Peter Pan, directed by Herbert Brenon and starring Betty Bronson, on Sunday, January 15th, 2023. In 1904, author and playwright J. M. Barrie wrote a play about a boy who wouldn’t grow up. Little did he know that his character, Peter Pan, would become one of the most beloved and enduring characters in literary history. Since its initial publishing, Peter Pan has inspired countless books, plays, and movies, including this unforgettable 1924 silent film version, featuring Betty Bronson as the titular character in one of her finest performances. Please join us at The State Theatre as we present this restored classic for all the young at heart.
