On October 15th, 1938, Warner Brothers opened The State Theatre as a test market for new films. Today, The State Theatre hosts second-run movies on Mondays at 3 & 7pm. Our Monday Movie Series is supported by the donations of our Reel Fans. Our Reel Fans helped to established this program in 2015 and are dedicated to supporting film programming at The State Theatre. They are lovers of every genre in our midst and like to get off the beaten path of the top-grossing movies and into the realm of Foreign films, Indie films, Art films and Classics. A donation of $100 or more gives you a membership to the Reel Fans as well as free access to each of our Monday Movies with a complimentary small popcorn, and your name listed in our monthly program. Everyone, regardless of membership, can have a say in our movie selection process by emailing us your suggestions.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, and in response to Federal, State and Local governmental guidelines, The State Theatre will continue to reschedule events that we are unable to host safely at our venue.
Don’t miss out on great upcoming events!
