The Borough of State College, The Borough’s Sustainability Department, and the Center for Alternatives in Community Justice (CACJ) are excited to announce the third event in our 2024 Community Conversations Series. Our topic will be: “Climate Action & Resiliency: A Global Topic Viewed Through A Local Lens.”
Community Conversations are quarterly community building dialogues that help to spread awareness and restoration on a variety of matters in Centre County. In 2023 the Community Conversations held four dialogues on, Policing in Communities of color, Equity in Housing, The State of the LGBT+ Community, and the Intersectionality of Race, Gender, and Economic Justice. Conversations begin with a panel event where we hear from local community experts followed by a group discussion aimed at creating community-based action(s).
