See the students of the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop (CPDW) in “My Favorite Things” at 7:00 PM Sunday, December 10th, at the State Theatre in downtown State College.

Join us as we celebrate all we love and cherish.  Selections include a variety of ages and dance styles inspired by what makes us happy, from Cookies and Candy to Friendship and Vacation.  Children from the creative movement, preballet, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre dance classes will participate, along with adult ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap, and hip hop classes.

The production will be choreographed by the CPDW faculty, including Jill A. Brighton, Director, Christina Ford, Erin Hanses, Emma Hogan, Haylei Libran, Ruth Packard, and Karen Stoner.

About The Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop

The Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop (CPDW) is located at 101 South Fraser Street in downtown State College, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1969 by LaRue Allen, the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop has provided the highest caliber dance training to our students in a broad range of classes for over 50 years.

At CPDW, our goal is to provide our students with a well-rounded dance education.  Students take classes, perform in a variety of venues, and may choose to develop new skills in dance instruction and choreography.

The State Theatre needs your help to purchase a new Digital Projection System!

With the purchase and installation of a new projector, The State will have a new 4K, laser projection, and digital cinema sound processing system will give us the ability to screen major movie festival features, as well as independent and major studio live action and animation that is only distributed in the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format.
