On October 11th, the Pardon Project of Centre County is hosting an exclusive viewing of the documentary, PARDON ME, at The State Theatre. Doors open at 6:00, and the film starts at 7:00. Immediately following the film (around 7:30) there will be a panel discussion featuring Shuja Moore, the Director. Light food and beverages will be available prior to the film. It is a FREE event, but attendees must register HERE.

The documentary presents the case for how pardons can help uplift lower-income communities and increase money to states across our country by allowing people with criminal records the opportunity to live as full citizens. The film features the story of two people going through the pardon process in Pennsylvania (one of whom has since been pardoned) and interviews with key thought leaders including Jeff Hornstein, head of The Economy League, and Brandon Flood, former Secretary of the PA Board of Pardons.

PROJECTING A BRIGHTER FUTURE

The State Theatre needs your help to purchase a new Digital Projection System!

With the purchase and installation of a new projector, The State will have a new 4K, laser projection, and digital cinema sound processing system will give us the ability to screen major movie festival features, as well as independent and major studio live action and animation that is only distributed in the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format.
