Actress Tricia Helfer will be present for a post-film Q&A session, along with a pre-screening VIP Meet & Greet. This exclusive event is a collaboration between The State Theatre and Happy Valley Comic and Collectible Convention.
Based on the popular novel ‘The Primitive War’ by Ethan Pettus. Vietnam. 1968. A recon unit known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. They soon discover they are not alone. Battle hardened soldiers are pit against the greatest predators that ever walked the earth.
Tricia Helfer is a Canadian-American actress and former model best known for her breakout role as the enigmatic Cylon Number Six in Battlestar Galactica (2003–2009), a performance that established her as a major figure in science-fiction television. After launching an international modeling career at 17—crowned by winning Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World contest in 1992—she transitioned to acting in the early 2000s, quickly landing roles in Jeremiah, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and later gaining further acclaim through her portrayal of Charlotte Richards/The Goddess in Lucifer (2016–2021). Beyond live-action work, she is also recognized for her voice performances, most notably as Sarah Kerrigan in the StarCraft II series, and remains active in film, television, and voice acting across genres. Most recently Tricia starred in the sci-fi action film, Primitive War.
Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention is a rapidly growing pop-culture and collectibles convention held at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre near Penn State, expanding in 2026 to a massive 100,000 square feet of comics, sports cards, toys, anime, gaming, cosplay, and celebrity appearances. Now in its fourth year, the event will be on Feb 28 and Mar 1 and features guests such as Tricia Helfer and other notable sci-fi and anime actors, along with comic creators like Deadpool co-creator Fabian Nicieza. Attendees can enjoy three costume contests, Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon tournaments, extensive vendor areas, dedicated cosplay groups, panels, photo ops, and interactive experiences like Padawan training sessions, making it a lively and diverse celebration of fandom culture.
