Event Manager

Summary:

The Event Manager is the team lead of the Front of House Event Staff. The manager will oversee every aspect of service and FOH operations and provide support in those operations during events. The types of events include, concerts with national touring artists, movies, movie events, rentals and private events.

Event Manager Responsibilities:

  • Enforce standards of excellence in service and guest experience.
  • Conduct and monitor operations with a guest first mindset.
  • Ensure all responsibilities and duties are completed by the event staff.
  • Perform opening, ongoing and closing duties.
  • Oversee the Event staff, close down the event and the building.
  • All duties and responsibilities of the Event Staff as a member of that team.
  • Maintain RAMP certification and enforce and maintain all PLCB standards.

The Event Manager will have a strong ability to delegate, motivate staff, and provide leadership to the FOH Event Staff while being skilled in team building. The Event Manager will be well organized and will emphasize time management. The ideal candidate brings excellent communication skills, takes pride, and focuses on excellence in guest relations and the guest experience. The Event Manager will demonstrate a positive attitude and provide support and accountability for the Event Staff.

Event Manager Duties - General:

  • Monitor ticket sales to adjust schedule and staffing as needed day of show.
  • Check ticket counts, will-call, box office email, and voicemail.
  • Review event sheets in Prism
  • Accounting, count in, close out, and settle all cash drawers.
  • Maintain appropriate atmosphere with FOH lighting, audio, cleanliness and set-up.
  • Conduct pre-event meeting in an upbeat and motivational manner.
  • Complete a safety, cleanliness and maintenance final check walkthrough before doors.
  • Communicate with Production Manager on timings of the event.
  • Supervise and communicate with security team and monitor their responsibilities.
  • All duties and responsibilities as assigned by the FOH Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will have experience, participation, or interest in any facet of the live music or entertainment industry.
  • Will have past experience in the bar and hospitality industry or similar fields.
  • Have the ability to graciously deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manor.
  • Will be tolerant of all cultures, music and art forms.
  • Will be available part-time/full time and adapt to the event schedule of the venue.
  • Will be available to work a flexible schedule including, weekends and evenings.

Compensation:

$15 – $17 / Hour, part time.
