Event Staff

Summary

The Event Staff team at The State Theatre is a group of hard-working, highly motivated individuals who support day-of-show operations, including bar and concession sales. Events range from concerts with national touring artists to movies, rentals, and private events.

As the first faces guests see upon arrival, Event Staff serves as ambassadors of The State Theatre, creating a welcoming, organized, and safe environment for everyone, from attendees to touring artists.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and set up for events
  • Welcome guests, check tickets, and manage will-call
  • Operate ticketing and POS systems for concessions and bar sales
  • Serve food, beverages, and alcoholic drinks responsibly
  • Provide friendly, attentive customer service throughout events
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas during and after events
  • Assist with merchandise sales
  • Answer questions and resolve guest issues professionally
  • Support post-event cleanup and venue reset

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience or interest in live events, music, film, or entertainment
  • Background in hospitality, bar service, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-traffic, and loud environments
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be 21+ and able to obtain RAMP Server/Seller training (training provided by the theatre)

Schedule

Part-time hours vary week to week based on the event calendar. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Compensation

Starting at $15/hour
