The position is mainly evening and weekends: for concerts, movies, theatre performances, etc. Seeking customer service oriented individuals with strong teamwork and self-motivation. You will be working with a small group mostly focused on bar service, concessions, ticket sales and event clean up. We need a friendly, outgoing person who will be regularly coordinating with other staff, managers and renters on a wide variety of events and tasks, making strong communication skills a must. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
The State Theatre will be hiring additional security and door guards to join our team. Interested candidates need be acutely aware of all patrons, with constant professionalism and calm. Experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates must possess the ability to quickly adhere to our policies and procedures, in order to efficiently and safely process the patrons upon entry and while monitoring activity within the venue. Experience with checking IDs preferred, but not mandatory. You must be able to work effectively with a group of security team members and be available for weekly scheduling, mainly nights and weekends. You must be able to de-escalate tense situations and handle situations professionally and without aggression. RAMP certification must be completed if not currently certified. TST will pay for this training. The hours vary throughout the year, depending on the season. Our typical schedule is anywhere from 2-3 shows a week to 2-3 shows a month.
This position pays $10 / hour on a bi-weekly payroll.
We are looking for qualified individuals to help with events; including concerts, theater, dance and film. The Stage Crew job includes: assisting with loading and unloading artist gear from the truck before and after the show. Helping to set-up artist equipment, sound, lights, backline, etc. Lighting and/or Sound board operators are needed on a show call basis. Training available. We are also looking for Stage Manager positions on a show call basis. Prior experience is preferred but not required.
Trained Board Operators (rate changes apply) Sound: Experience live mixing monitors and / or FOH on the Yamaha M7-CL
Lighting: Experience with live mixing and programming on the ETC ION.
We need volunteers all the time, generally to usher and take tickets, but oftentimes for other fun or meaningful tasks. Volunteer gigs often come with perks, like FREE tickets to shows. Volunteers are needed to help with event marketing. We are forming a nice group of dependable people for street marketing, which includes (but is not limited to) posters, flyers, and handout distribution.
